Dolphins lose 28-13, season on life support

It simply just wasn't good enough today.

The defense wasn't good enough after the first quarter.

The offense wasn't good enough at all.

The coaching wasn't good enough.

It just wasn't a good day.

Let's start with the offensive line. They were awful. Just brutally awful today.

Awful to the tune of six Ravens sacks. Dallas Thomas has to go, and had to go four quarters ago. Why Joe Philbin refuses to put Jason Fox in the game may be the biggest head scratcher of the year.

Ryan Tannehill had no time to throw today. None. Zero. Zilch.

The Dolphins, as I said they would, also abandoned the run game in the second half, after having success with it in the first half.

Again, why Bill Lazor does this week in and week out is, um, befuddling.

The offense also had a first and goal at the BALT 4 yard line.... And settled for a field goal.

Not good enough.

Defensively, it wasn't much better.

The run defense, good at first, was gashed when it counted.

The pass defense, good at first, was gashed when it counted.

The pass rush was nonexistent for the third straight week.

Not good enough. Not good enough. And definitely not good enough.

The Dolphins fall to 7-6 and need to win out to have any shot at the postseason.

Oh yeah, they're in New England next week too.

Life support.
