Dolphins, Moreno agree to deal

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, RB Knowshon Moreno and the Miami Dolphins have agreed to a one year deal.

Moreno visited Miami last week but left without a deal. However, GM Dennis Hickey told reporters earlier this week that negotiations were on going, something clearly confirmed by this signing.

Moreno, 26, was 5th in the league last year with 1,586 yards from scrimmage, tied for 4th with 10 TD's, and 12th with 1,038 rushing yards.

Moreno will bring the veteran experience the Dolphin back field is in desperate need of after coming off a season where they ranked 26th in the NFL in rushing.

Expect Moreno and third year man Lamar Miller to both see time out of the backfield. RB Daniel Thomas may or may not be the odd man out, but one would have to figure he is after four subpar years with the team. He's currently entering the final year of his rookie contract.

This is a solid signing by GM Dennis Hickey, whose quietly put together an impressive first offseason.
