It's that time of week again. With the Miami Dolphins thick in the AFC wildcard chase, along with almost every other team in the AFC, Dolfans will be doing plenty of scoreboard watching this time tomorrow.
I laid it out for you yesterday, and it's pretty simple. If Miami wins, and Baltimore loses, then the Fins take control of the final wild card spot. However, with teams like San Diego, Tennessee, and New York (somehow) right there at 5-7, plenty could still happen in these final four weeks.
To the guide:
Minnesota @ Baltimore (1:00, CBS): Pretty cut and dry in this ball game. I'll make it easy for you, Dolfans- you'll be rooting against the Ravens for the next four weeks. I expect them to win this game, but hey, you never know with the way this season's played out.
Buffalo @ Tampa Bay (1:00, CBS): The Bills are 4-8, I know, but they're still alive in this thing. Root for Mike Glennon and the Bucs to knock them out, once and for all, tomorrow afternoon. Remember, the Bills own the tie breaker with Miami as of today.
Indianapolis @ Cincinnati (1:00, CBS): The Bengals are a team to keep an eye on if you're the Miami Dolphins. They currently hold a two game lead over the Ravens in the AFC North, but their schedule isn't easy. Following this game, they go to Pittsburgh, then finish up at home against Minnesota and Baltimore. If the Ravens somehow catch them going into the final week of the year, the Bengals could find themselves in a wild card tie with Miami. And remember, the Fins already beat them on Halloween night. Root for the Colts in this game.
Oakland @ N.Y. Jets (1:00, CBS): A Raiders win would put the Jets away for good, however, it would also put Oakland at 5-8 and still alive in the wild card race. Neither of these teams pose much of a threat to the Fins, but with Miami owning the tie breaker over New York, and the remaining schedule for the Raiders (KC, SD, DEN) looking, uh, difficult, I'd say A Jets win wouldn't be the worst thing. But let's be honest, it really doesn't matter.
Tennessee @ Denver (4:05, CBS): The Titans are 5-7, and came within a TD and 2-PT conversion last week of being tied with both Miami and Baltimore. Let Peyton and the Broncos put them away for good tomorrow.
Picks and predictions coming up later!
ONE. DAY.
