Week 14 Dolfan Viewer Guide: Who to Root For

I've covered a lot of games for this team over the past few years, but I can't remember a bigger game, on a bigger NFL weekend, that this team has ever played before.

Playoff implications are everywhere.

In Cincinnati.

In Cleveland.

In Arizona.

In Denver.

In San Diego.

And, of course, in Miami.

Here's how the current AFC playoff picture looks:

I can assure you it will look much, much different come tomorrow night.

The games:

Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati (1:00, CBS): Massive game in the AFC right here. The Bengals could put some distance between them and the rest of the AFC North with a win, and I think that's what the Dolphins root for. Even though the Steelers have been reeling as of late, they still pose more of a threat to Miami than Cincinnati does. Root for them here. Miami needs some more distance between them a Big Ben.

Colts @ Browns (1:00, CBS): This one's much easier.. The Colts are winning the division and pose no threat to the Dolphins. Time to officially KO the Browns tomorrow.

Texans @ Jaguars (1:00, CBS): Houston just won't go away. The Jaguars are coming off an impressive comeback win. An upset could be in the making here, and it would close the book on any Texans wildcard run.

Bills @ Broncos (4:05, CBS): Same story with the Bills. They just won't go away. Root for the Broncos to put them out of their misery.

Chiefs @ Cardinals (4:05, CBS): Kansas City has gone from division contender to out of the playoffs in just three weeks, and the schedule only gets tougher for them. A loss here would be huge for the Dolphins.

Patriots @ Chargers (8:30, NBC): This one is tough for Dolfans.. On one hand, a Patriots loss, coupled with a Miami win, would set up winner-take-first showdown between the Pats and Fins in New England next weekend. On the other hand, San Diego is a game ahead of the Dolphins right now at 8-4, but faces a daunting end of the season schedule. As much as it pains me, I say root for the Pats here. Miami has a better shot at the wild card then they do the division.

Picks and predictions coming up.
