Gameday: Five Keys to a Dolphins Win PLUS Prediction

Welcome to another gameday, as the Dolphins and Vikings are just under three hours away from kicking things off at Sun Life Stadium.

Here are the keys to a Dolphins win:

1. Make the rookie beat you: as I told you yesterday, the Dolphins are 2-0 against rookie quarterbacks this year, and they happen to be facing one today in Teddy Bridgewater. Kevin Coyle's unit must take away the prominent Vikings run game and make Bridgewater beat them. My guess is he can't.

2. Keep taking shots: Bill Lazor opened up the playbook for Ryan Tannehill for the first time last week, and it led to generally positive results. Lazor must continue to let Tannehill find the long ball and put the offense in position to make big plays down field, because with that Vikings stout defense I don't see Miami dinking and dunking up and down the field today.

3. DON'T ABANDON THE RUN GAME: I said it last week, I said it the week befire, I've said it all season long... The run game works! STOP GOING AWAY FROM IT IN THE SECOND HALF.

4. Don't beat yourself: penalties, turnovers, blocked field goals- they've all killed Miami over the past two weeks. This team isn't strong enough mentally to get through things like this, especially with nothing to play for. If they happen today it will be a huge problem.

5. Play with pride: Look, this team isn't making the playoffs. They may not even finish second in their own division. But a winning record is still attainable, and that's saying something for a team who hasn't had one in over a half decade. Just come out and play with some fire, some passion, and some heart. That's all we're asking.

PREDICTION

I don't know what to expect today, I really don't. But Miami is the better team, with the better QB, and they're at home. Even with the way they've played lately I can't go against those odds.

Final: Dolphins 24 Vikings 20
