Dolphins lead Broncos 21-17 at halftime

This is one of only three games this week in the NFL that features both teams over .500..

So far, it's lived up to that billing.

21-17 Miami at halftime.

Offensively, it's been flawless execution from the Dolphins.

Ryan Tannehill is 11-14 for 122 yards, a passing touchdown to Mike Wallace, and a 2 yard rushing score. He's been accurate, mobile, quick, and decisive. It was one of the best first halves Tannehill has had all season long.

He's had help, though. Lamar Miller had a first half career high 52 yards on 6 carries. Daniel Thomas has nine yards and the game's opening TD. Tannehill, as a just mentioned, has 15 yards on four carries.

From an execution standpoint, the offense had it's best first half of the year.

Defensively, it's been a mixed bag.

Miami dominated the first quarter, holding Peyton Manning to 11 passion yards. However, the Broncos have come out running the football, and it's paid off as RB C.J. Anderson has 53 yards on 10 carries.

The biggest disappointment for Miami came at the end of the half, when Manning and the Broncos faced a third and 20 from the Miami 38 with a minute to go. Manning found a wide open Emmanuel Sanders down the sidelines for a long gain. That was coupled with a 15 yard penalty on Jamar Taylor, who was beat on the play.

Denver will get the ball to begin the third quarter. Remember, Miami is the best scoring team in the third quarter this season.

The way this one is going, they'll have to keep it up.
