Inspired Dolphins lead Panthers 16-6 at half

You're watching an inspired Miami Dolphins team today.

The defense has been exceptional, picking off Cam Newton, sacking Cam Newton, and holding CAM NEWTON to 100 yards passing on 19 attempts.

The special teams unit blocked a Carolina FG. As I told you earlier, special teams MUST make plays today to win.

They have.

Now to the offense. Or should I say the Mike Wallace.

The embattled receiver has caught two long passes for 53 and 57 yards, with the first resulting in a TD. Ryan Tannehill continues to underthrow Wallace, but he's made up for both today.

Speaking of Tannehill, he's been solid today, going 12-19 for 203 yards, a TD and INT.

The half ended on a sour note.

On third and 4 from the Carolina 6 yard line, Tannehill hit Matthews in the endzone before Luke Kuechly ILLEGALLY hit Matthews in the head.

A flag was thrown ONLY to be picked up seconds later. No penalty was called. Mii kicked a FG. Should have been first and goal from the 1-yard line.

To make matters worse, the Miami defense let up a 30 yard pass with 8 seconds left that put Carolina in FG range. That cannot happen against good teams.

To the third.

Buckle up.
