Embarrassing.
How do you lose to a winless team?
You run for TWO yards on the night.
You give up your only two sacks of the night on back to back plays with the game on the line.
You give up over 150 rushing yards on defense.
You commit bonehead penalties on crucial downs, like Philip Wheeler did.
You kick a FG instead of score a TD when you get the ball off an INT at the SEVEN yard line.
You come out of the gate trailing 15-0 before you can even blink.
That's how.
Ryan Tannehill played fine, he wasn't the problem. He threw an INT on the final offensive play just trying to make something happen.
Mike Wallace was absent all night.
The run defense was beyond atrocious. The pass defense did OK.
The pressure on Mike Glennon simply wasn't good enough.
The offensive line was GREAT until the final, most crucial drive of the night, where they gave up back to back sacks to put Miami in a 3rd and 28 situation.
Luckily, this loss isn't a back breaker for the Miami Dolphins. In a football sense, at least.
They sit at 4-5 with every other team in the AFC excluding the New York Jets.
But in every other way, with all the off the field issues, this loss is demoralizing for the Miami Dolphins.
And I, for one, don't know if they can come back from it.
The Chargers are up next.
