Happy Thanksgiving!
Food is in the oven, pre-game shows are on the TV, and Fantasy lineups are quickly being submitted.
Here at The Dolphinsider, it's time for a special edition of Thanksgiving Day Picks, where we'll have a vested interest in tonight's Pittsburgh/Baltimore game.
As I told you yesterday, a Pittsburgh win tonight, coupled with a Miami win on Sunday, would vault the Fins into the 6th and final seed.
To the picks:
Green Bay @ Detroit: No Aaron Rodgers, no bueno for the Packers. As for Detroit, look for a team playing with a chip on their shoulder after coming off an ugly, ugly loss to the two win Buccaneers. If Matt Stafford can limit the turnovers, especially in the red zone, I like the Lions in this one.
Oakland @ Dallas: Matt McGloin time!!!! Tony Romo will get it done here, but it's closer than people think, especially with that Dallas "defense." Give me the Cowboys.
Pittsburgh @ Baltimore: Both teams coming off big time wins, and both are smack dab in the AFC wild card race. Think of this as a de-facto playoff game, as the loser will be a longshot in a muddled playoff race. I like the Steelers here. They're hot, they have the better QB, and, in the end, they have the better team.
Alright, go eat, watch football, and spend time with family you haven't seen in years!
