Report: TE Keller out for year

And there it is. Foxsports has just confirmed what most of us already knew- TE Dustin Keller will miss the entire 2013 season with a right knee injury. What the exact injury is is still unknown, but just by looking at it you can tell there are multiple things torn in that knee.

Obviously the worst case scenario has now become a reality for the Miami Dolphins, and all of a sudden the TE position has become an unknown on this offense. Can Charles Clay, Michael Egnew, and Dion Sims step up? Or will the Fins bring in a veteran free agent like Randy McMichael, Kevin Boss, or Todd Heap?

One has to think that the three men behind Keller will be given every opportunity to step up, but the lack of consistency will certainly be something to watch going forward.

More to come.

UPDATE: Keller tore his ACL, MCL, PCL, and dislocated his knee. Story just keeps getting worse.
