BREAKING: RAIDERS TRADE 3RD OVERALL PICK TO DOLPHINS, WHO THEN SELECT DION JORDAN

Well, that's a curveball.

Jeff Ireland is putting it all out there now.  The Fins GM has just pulled off a trade with the Oakland Raiders for the 3rd overall pick.  Miami then selected Oregon OLB Dion Jordan.

The Dolphins passed on LT Lane Johnson, who many thought they'd pick here after the trade.  This tells me that the Branden Albert trade is still very much alive.

The Fins view Jordan as a player very similar to Jason Taylor on the defensive line, and putting him on the other side of Cameron Wake could give Miami the most complete line in all of football.

I'll put it to you like this:  Wake had 15 sacks last year.  The other three DE's had 8.5 COMBINED.

More to come.

[UPDATE: The Fins reportedly gave up their 42nd overall pick, along with the 12th pick, for the Raiders 3rd pick]
