It's gameday here at the Dolphinsider, as the Fins and Jaguars are set to kick things off from Sun Life Stadium in a little over three hours. Until then, check out what I think are three keys to a Fins victory today. Enjoy.
1. Take advantage of that Jaguars run defense. A defense that actually ranks 28th against the run, TWENTY EIGHTH! Please, for the love of everything that is good and holy, run the ball today Reggie. Putting up anything less than 100 yards on the ground would be deemed a failure today for the Miami Dolphins, not to mention make life a little more difficult for Ryan Tannehill, so this is an absolute must today for the Fins.
2. Don't let Chad Henne hang around. This team is terrible, folks, there's no two ways around it. Go out today, and stick it to that 30th ranked Jaguars defense, and do it early and often. Enough with the field goals, enough with the three and outs, it's time to go out today, and prove to this fan base that this Dolphins team is headed in the right direction. So please, please, don't let Chad Henne of all people hang around in this one and win it, because that could be more apocalyptic to this franchise then this Friday could be.
3. Utilize Reggie Bush as much as possible. Mike Sherman did a better job of this last week, as Reggie was used more in the passing game than any other time this season. However, with Davone Bess out today for the first time in his career, the Fins must use Reggie even more. Put him out in the slot, throw screen passes to him, send him deep, whatever you have to do Mike Sherman, do it, because the loss of Davone Bess will be more evident than we realize. USE REGGIE!
PREDICTION
This is a must win today for the Miami Dolphins. Not for the playoffs, not for second place in the division, but for a sign- a sign to this fan base that this team is headed in the right direction. They've done some good things this year, and taken more than a few steps, but a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars today will erase all of that. Scratch that, a loss to CHAD HENNE will erase all of that. I expect the Fins to win this one, but I'm looking for a blow out, because lets be honest, this really should be no contest.
Final: Jaguars 13 Dolphins 28
