Tannehill sharp as Dolphins lead 6-0 after 1st Quarter in final preseason game

Ryan Tannehill looked sharp in his only two series tonight against the Dallas Cowboys. The rookie went 6-8 for 41 yards, with one of those incompletions being a drop by WR Legedu Naanee.  His passes were extremely accurate, on time, and crisp as he moved the chains on both series.  The final drive stalled inside the 10 yard line after a third down fade route fell incomplete in the endzone. However, pass interference should have probably been called, which would have set up Miami with a first and goal at the Dallas one yard line.

Dan Carpenter would hit the short chip shot field goal, and then recover a fumble on the ensuing kickoff.  Matt Moore then took over from there, and after failing to get a first down handed it over to Carpenter again who would hit another field goal.

The Dolphin defense, for the most part, has looked sharp against the Dallas second team.  The starters held the Cowboys to a three and out on their first drive, and most of the first team was lifted after that.

On to the second quarter we go!
