Ryan Tannehill named week one starter for Miami Dolphins

Joe Philbin announced today that rookie QB Ryan Tannehill will be the week one starter at Houstan. Tannehill has by far looked the most comfortable in Philbin's west coast offense, and showed that in the first two preseason games, going 25-44, for 267 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions.

This leaves QB Matt Moore as the presumed back up to Tannehill, however that could change if and when David Garrard comes back from knee surgery.

This news may come as a surprise to many, especially since Tannehill has made only 19 career starts at QB, but I believe Philbin made the right call on this one.

The future is now.
