Dolphins trade former first round pick Davis to Colts

The Miami Dolphins have traded former first round pick CB Vontae Davis to the Indianapolis Colts for a second round pick, according to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer.

Davis lost his starting job earlier this month to veteran Richard Marshall, and has been struggling since.

This is a fair trade for both sides, especially since Miami got a second rounder in return, but could turn out bad for the Dolphins if Davis, who is only 24, regains his form and takes off for the Colts.

More to come.
