It's Friday around the NFL and here at the Dolphinsider that can only mean one thing... It's time for my weekly picks and predictions for all of Sunday's games! I know, you're bursting with excitement. Lets dig in, shall we?
Tampa Bay @ Jacksonville Pick: Both these teams are terrible, did you see them last week? In a battle of inferiors, the Bucs will reign superior.
Houstan @ Cincinnati Pick: Two rookie QB's going head to head here, however, they've had very different path's to the NFL, give me Dalton over Yates, and a Bengals victory.
Kansas City @ New York Jets Pick: Tyler Palko has looked beyond lost in his last two starts. Expect Rex Ryan to feast on the young QB, and no, that's not a knock on his weight. Give me the Jets in a game that's over by halftime.
Minnesota @ Detroit Pick: The Lions are a mess lately, losing four out of their last six games, not to mention that they've taken on the "bully" role in the NFL. Christian Ponder has looked good in his first season, but give me the Lions in a season saving win.
Indianapolis @ Baltimore Pick: Peyton Manning may very well become the first ever MVP not to play in a single game if the Colts go 0-16. Word of warning, do not take them lightly, just ask the Patriots. That being said, give me the Ravens as Indy's losing streak hits lucky number 13.
New Orleans @ Tennessee Pick: The Saints are really flying under the radar, aren't they? Drew Brees is having another fantastic season, Darren Sproles and Jimmy Graham have made that offense more dangerous than ever, and they're 6-0 at home! However, this game's in Nashville, and CJ2K, yes he's good again so he's earned his nickname back, will be to much to handle as the Titans continue their late season playoff push with a huge upset at home.
Atlanta @ Carolina Pick: Cam Newton is having an unbelievable season, and with a couple more pieces defensively the Panthers could be in the thick of the NFC playoff race. However, they're not, and Atlanta is, so give me the Falcons in a shootout.
New England @ Washington Pick: Rex Grossman will move the ball up and down the field, he's proven that, what he has not proven, however, is the ability to finish drives. Give me an upset Bill Belichick coming off an ugly finish against the winless Colts over an upset Mike Shanahan any day of the week. Patriots win big.
Chicago @ Denver Pick: Caleb Hanie was out-dueled by Tyler Palko last week, that's bad. Imagine what Tim Tebow's going to do against him. Chicago's defense keeps it close, but Tebow and the Broncos keep the good times rollin'.
San Francisco @ Arizona Pick: Kevin Kolb provided a spark in his return last week against the Cowboys. However, that spark can only last so long, and with the league's top ranked defense, the 49er's will put it out, but it's close.
Buffalo @ San Diego Pick: As always, Norv Turner's Chargers have underachieved all season, yet they're making a last gasp effort at a playoff spot. Buffalo has lost five in a row after a sizzling start out of the gate, and with injuries mounting on both sides of the ball I see the Chargers making it six in a row.
Oakland @ Green Bay Pick: This one will be closer than most think. Carson Palmer matches up very well with the Green Bay secondary and he alone will keep the Raiders in the ball game. However, that Raider defense doesn't stand a chance against Aaron Rodgers, not a chance. Give me the Packers in a game that's close going into the 4th quarter.
NY Giants @ Dallas Pick: The winner of this game could very well be hosting a playoff game next month. Both teams are coming off tough, tough losses in week 13, so expect an all out war on Sunday night. I'll give the edge to the Cowboys in a game decided by a field goal, something Jason Garret knows all about.
St. Louis @ Seattle Pick: Man, when is Monday Night Football going to start flexing games? First the Jags and Bolts last week and now the Rams and Hawks? Talk about a ratings drop, personally I'd much rather watch How I Met Your Mother than tomorrow night's "game." However, it still needs to be picked, and in that regards I'll take Marshawn Lynch and the Seahawks.
No, I did not include the dolphins in my week 14 picks, for that pick you'll have to tune back in on Sunday morning.
Come back later for my 10 bold predictions for week 14 in the NFL, you will not want to miss them.
